But like I said i like building more then flying.

what format does you laser cutter use? I have access to a 24x36 and uses corel draw. haven't had anything cut on it yet but this looks like an interesting project.

We have a few laser engravers at our shop and Corel is a very common drawing package for us.
You can import a dxf or dwg into Corel and simply format the objects.
Cutting requires a specific color assigned, engraving another...
I am playing a bit here with some of the various files, card models etc. the laser cuts depron beautifully btw... You need to factor a bit of "laser burn" on the parts as the laser will cut like a blade somewhat leaving you a bit shy on sizes...

Thanks for the info, I have been toying with the idea of importing files to cut a fuse to make out of balsa or foam, I need to make it lite as it would be flying off a dirt/grass runway.

Making you model fly will be a great extra challence for yourself and a pleasure for the one who may fly with it ;-)

Maybe the next model This is my first plane build ever so need to get the hang of it.

I will be a complete scratch build incluiding the drawing.

I have purchased a 3D design today so I can start drawing soon. I think It will be a 1/8.4 scale so 2,5m wingspan

I like to keep everything organised this way it is much more easy to do things.
For example if someone wants to buy a A320kit when mine is finished, I can easly open the files and import them into the laser and cut another kit.
