Question
sma adapter question

I ordered a set of cheap antennas,i thought I ordered the right adapter...but I was wrong.
im looking at an adapter set on ebay.from the supplied ebay pic it looks exactly like what I need.....but sometimes ads have something different than pictured.

heres the adapter set im looking at,and a picture of what I have.
my rc305 200mw vrx/vtx system both have the same conections.
(pin in the center)
the antennas I ordered are the same but have the correct female nut,but pin in the center aswell.

heres the link....if the item isn't what I need...please direct me.
as stated from the pic....its what I need,i really ont wanna order....wait a few weeks just to get the wrong part because the picture looked correct..

US based source for good quality adapters.

Note, there will always be some loss when using adapters so always be careful when shopping for antennas.

Cheers,
Geoff

Don't worry about the loss too much, even IBCrazy includes adaptors with their antennae.

Sure but that's on his antennas which are very well made as apposed to some of these Chinese antennas which are of unknown and inconsistent quality
That's why I always recommend the Spironet antennas as an absolute minimum antenna choice.

Geoff

I agree with gb......quality counts with antennas......but im building a budget rig, will be flying los aswell as fpv.
this rig is just to get my feet wet and flying fpv.
my max distance will be 250-300 yards.

in my other thread someone suggested gogles, and the spironets, ect.
those are ideal for starting out,but this is mostly for playing around.later on ill buy something bigger and better.

a simple starter system will do just fine at the moment.
im into astronomy, and I understand the buy quality concept.the telescope mount is sorta like a fpv antenna......the quality of the mount needs to far exceed the quality of the ota (optical tube)the mount is the foundation of the entire telescope.

thanx for all the input guys

The dome does not affect the signal, it is needed for the folks who like to try and fly through undergrowth there is a possibility of an aerodynamic advantage, but hard to see it on a multirotor.

You have two connectors that not match because of the center pin, your VTx have an SMA male connector and the antenna have the same (male), so the two does not match. You need to change the antenna conector by a SMA female connector to be right.
