The scrolling was well worth the time. Not only is Mara an absolutely beautiful design that was expertly crafted the rest of the models were well worth the wear and tear on my scrolling finger....

I have to admit to a lot of interest in how the leading edge was sheeted. And then I saw THIS ! ! ! ! ! !

All I can say is...... *GULP ! ! ! ! !*

The designer/builder is no less than veteran aeromodeller Markku Tähkäpää !!

There's no doubt that Markku is one in a million. I'm sure a lot of us have doodled sketches of equally curvy and swoopy flights of fancy. But when faced with the reality of turning a doodle into a plan and then into an actual airplane the doodle was as far as it got. Markku obviously didn't let this stop him and went on to create a wondrous design that must look absolutely beautiful in the air.

Any links to a video of Mara in flight? The stills are great but I'd love to see what it looks like in the glide.

So far I haven't managed to find any film clips....should I find anything, it will certainly be linked out here....

"Mara" (in Finnish, and Swedish as well) is synonymous to the English "MARE"

This is a scan of an "ink blotter" I acquired on EBay a few years ago. It features the Megow Flying Wing rubber kit and a seductive lady. Now that's marketing!
