Okay I've tried it and it doesn't work...it gives all kind of beeb and musical tone and it is very difficult to follow and it doesn't really match the description. I've e-mail to RCSmart and the eBay seller and they claim that you need a programming device to do it.....

So, my conclusion it that this unit can only work with the default setting and probably only the brake could be user programmable.

I must say that the price it too good to be true....

I've had several of these type ESCs, but not this one in particular. I will say that ANY ESC with beeping tones is very difficult to program. But this one seems especially difficult. The manual doesn't really explain how to alter any setting other than brake.

Also, the LVC settings are incorrect for lipos. It's using a cell cutoff of 2.8 volts which is too low. Use the ESC carefully. I would redcommend to never hit LVC!!!

For $45 you could get this one which supports up to 7 lipos and has better instructions:

I know this might be a little late in coming but Signflyer found the right instructions for this series of ESC for bidproducts.com. Hope this helps... (worked for 10 amp esc)

Is there a programming card for this POS? I have tried for several hours to program this with the radio without sucess. If not, I am just going to smash it so no one else has to go through the nightmare that this POS is.
Thanks

I'm pretty sure this is a ZTW ESC. I believe I have the same one branded as a Reaper, while they also go by Cyclone Power and other brands. It is actually a very decent ESC, good quality with a 4amp switching BEC. The ZTW program card should work. If you can't find the programming instructions on line for this (ZTW) ESC, let me know. The older ones had a different pattern of beeps and it took me a while to find those instructions. I can get them to you if you need.

I did a search for ZTW Programming card on Google and was shocked to find that in the cards pictured was a HobbyWing and several others (I have) with other well known brand ESC Prog Cards.

What is ZTW like the biggest of the ESC makers? Do they make all the RC Smart ESC's too?
