Scratch built Mini FPV plane
Here's my first attempt at FPV with a very small-scale airplane. This is a 30" wingspan twin-boom pusher built using dollar tree foam and basswood tail booms. It's flies great, and it's really fun to FPV with
I wanted to make something small enough to be portable for traveling, or just flying around low and slow between obstacles, but also large enough to be able to carry a Go Pro for HD video. I used spare engines / ESCs / batteries laying around to put it together.
The wing / tail & fuselage are separate parts attached by rubber bands. Hooking everything up is a simple matter of plugging the ESC, vtx lead, and video-out lead to the wing. I use a GoPro 2 for FPV and recording, and it's been working good so far for me. It's a great little airplane to just throw in the car and take flying somewhere.
3300 Mah 2S
2200 kv 2826 turnigy outrunner
7x6 APC prop
9g 1.3 kg/cm analog servos
ESC from a parkzone DHC-2, I'm guessing the amp rating is 25-30
Dragonlink for RC, on a Turnigy 9x radio
5.8 ghz 200 mw tx
Go Pro H2 for FPV
Here's a video of the FPV maiden. I shot this right at sunrise flying by a big statue in my city. Range on the 5.8 seems pretty limited, so I've also got a 1.3 ghz vtx I'm considering using instead.
If you're interested, just let me know and I'll PM you all the dimensions for building. I don't have plans, since its a scratch build, but I think it's simple enough that you won't need them.

Nice little plane for FPV. Could you please post some close up pics of the motor mount area? What material have you used for the booms?
Thanks for sharing.

Can you please post dimensions of the main fuse? How long, wide, high. Also can you tell us how long the tail booms are and where they are attached to the wing. I'm looking forward to building one of these. Your design is perfect.
