Aquaboat Revolt 30 maiden
Well, all the parts trickled in, the receiver ready Revolt 30 from Tower, the FS-GT3B radio and a pair of 2S 5000mah 40C hard pack Gen Ace batteries from Hobbypartz, and some carbon props from Offshore Electrics and Kintec Racing. I didn't want to mess with balancing those nasty carcinogenic metal props until I get some type of respirator...
Anyway, greased the shaft, put on a 42 X 1.4 pitch prop, bound the receiver, charged the batteries, and hit the homeowners association lake behind the house.
So far, so good. So far I am getting 5 minute runtimes and am nowhere near pulling out 4000 mah. Everything is cool after the run. Tomorrow at the field/pond I plan on putting on the 45mm X 1.4 pitch graphite prop and see how she does.
Planes, then helis, and now boats. Now our club is putting in a car track... I hope I don't get the hankering for a damned car... must resist... temptation...
