Yes to your post.
For those that don't know, a simple explanation.
The motors are driven with a voltage, usually what ever the receiver is running on, and there are limit switches at each extreme to stop the motors. Mechanical or electronic switches. These switches can also be wired to reverse the motor for the next direction. I'm not sure if this hasn't been upgraded by now to a logic ic? The motors drive gears or a worm gear but are not positional servos we're used to. Just motor is on or off and stops at up or down.
They can also stall if the gear gets bent and draw a lot of current. They must be kept free when up.

Aloft site down again!

I think they're upgrading their site, when I checked it out an hour ago the home page was all new- now its back to the old site- so looks like Wayne is overhauling the site

Valuehobby.com still has the best price (and for Rx too) at $225 for the plus with 8ch rx and no case. Perfect.
