I've been looking at this plane. I like the way it looks and think it might make me a good first float plane. I want to see some reviews first.

I like it! Does anyone have an ETA on it?

Brought one home today. I really like it and it went together easy. Wondering about the slowflyer 9 X 4.5 is going to be the right prop.

Ok guys absolutely great flying plane. Need to through the prop away and get an APC or something. Solder on the deans was not done well and failed on the third flight. ( not my solder, comes with deans) will fix that. Takes off easy, gets up to plane quickly and lands like a trainer. I am running a 2600 so battery so battery is back as far as it will go.

OK, so last night I tried to unsuccessfully load videos... This morning, I bought video editing software and created a youtube account. Please enjoy the video, I should have done this a long time ago.

Going for the 5th flight and the solder joint on the deans connector failed. Resoldered last night, also changed the prop out to an APC 9X4.7, noticed the spinner wasn't running true, but ran it up any way. 20 amps on the watt meter and quite a vibration. Switched out the spinner for and electrifly I had laying around, dropped the amp draw down to 17.5 and all vibrations were gone. Too lazy to put the stock prop back on, it may have been a spinner issue, not a prop issue. Still like the rigidity of the APC over the stock prop anyway, just wanted to give the stock kit parts a fair shake down.

Thanks for the update and video Motowncali, I talk to my LHS bud yesterday and he believe it will be in on 3.21.13 so I should have mine soon. Question, how soft is the bottom around the Step? I still have snow and ice on my field, I am wondering if that will be too rough on the bottom. - trey

You could fiberglass the bottom and help protect it. I doubt it would add much weight. That would be one way to protect it from the snow and ice.
