Can't beat that, in a few weeks I will be in the air. Then the bragging starts.
Not flying the HV but should be phenomenal

Hi This is my X-Plane power : Nue 1115/1y kontronic 4.2-1 gearbox and a GM 9 x 21.5 folding carbon prop. I mounted the Gearbox according to the instructions provided and a post I found here. When I test ran it sounds fine not much noise but the gearbox seems to get fairly warm.
Does anyone know if this is normal ? Do I need to run it on the bench some to break it in ?
I guess I need to get a temp gun and see what the real numbers are. Im using some Lithium Gearbox Grease (Hacker) suppose to be good stuff.

I ran an almost identical overall setup (1115-1.5d-5.2 on 10x23) and never measured or noticed any heating of the gearbox alone. I never ran it outside of a fuse either though so don't have temperatures. I posted a video if you wanted to see what your in for.
Do a very good job on the linkages as your going to be knocking on the 200mph door on 5s

I think I found your Video Edhs looked like you had it flying great . Looked like everything should stay cool up in the great white north. I hope to be in the 200mph range . Planning on testing it out with a 4s before I go to the 5s . My Sunracer runs over 170 and I have had no flutter with it using 450 heli linkage so I was planning on going that route.

I ran NEU Motor 1110-1.5Y-5.2:1 on my Swist on 5S and GM10x23 ... very reliable, no maintenance, every day 200mph flyer. I used ball links with good results. Hope yours performs well! JS

Thanks Snipes always good to know your on the right path . Your prop is a little steeper but I don't have quite as much gear reduction so we should be close to the same. The prop calculator was show a pitch speed of 182 on a 4s and 220 I think it was on a 5s.
