2s or 3s Juicebox alternative for cellphone charger ?
Hi - Im flying direct NY to Hawaii (12+hrs) and I know my cellphone battery isn't going to last nearly long enough. Sure, I could spend wayyyy to much on a on a Juicepack / juicebox whatever or close to $50 for a genuine second battery for the phone but I've got all these 2s or 3s lipo's that would love to go on the trip too
So, is it as simple as getting a car charger/usb type deal to step the voltage down from 3s to what the phone wants ? would 2s work as well or are these only looking for ~12-14v ?
Is there a simpler way ? I have from 450mah - 2200mah in 2 and 3 cell and 3s 3300 as well
BTW, phone is a Galaxy s5

One of these BECs can be set for 5V output and will work with 2-3S lipos.
As far as connecting it to the phone goes, if you don't want to hack apart an existing USB cable, there's this cable for the Mobius that provides a servo connection to the power pins. As simple as connecting the BEC to the battery and the output to the USB cable.

You can buy regulators that accept 12V input and have a USB port as the output.
