Hi guys, awesome work KK!

I'm planning on building this like in origional post. All I want to do is feed audio through 5.8 boscam tx, please advise what else is required?

Edit: Allso, can volume be controlled and if so how?

Thanks!
Dion

I am pretty sure I have seen this covered in this thread somewhere.

Another one, can't find the answer this time

Can this be used allso as an altimeter? Just to get the readout after the flight will be all I want,

Thanks!

Hi Dion,

I am using the code by hmeijdam (see post 462 on page 31), it works great.

You activate the mode change using a spare TX channel (switch), and from the RX you wire that to the D3 pin of the Arduino.

You hear long beeps for hundreds, short beeps for tens if the altimeter mode is activated, otherwise you hear the regular vario sounds.

The data logging is a different matter, you would need an SD card module and a further tweaked code.

Guys, for a scale-ish FPV experience, would it be possible to attach a tiny speaker right to the arduino side, dropping the radio link?

Yes, or maybe even a small piezo speaker close to your mic. Also direct connection to the fpv transmitter is possible, it is covered somewhere in this thread i think.

The mic solution is what I am thinking of (enjoy the cockpit noise during fpv). Just spent some more time with the search function and can't seem to find answer on how to connect a (lightweight piezo) speaker directly to the kk vario (instead of connecting it to a receiver). Any pointers would be most welcome.

This page says that a resistor between 333 and 1000 ohm will do. But I imagine you can go way higher if you are close to the mic. Audio may spread all over the fuselage if you for example glue a piezo to it.
