Peck Sky Bunny

Just wondering-has anybody built and flown a Sky Bunny? Before Peck kitted it I remember Model Builder featured it in a series of articles called 'Hey kid, you wanna build an airplane?' I built two, one orange and one red, both flew nicely, the orange one once had a nice 1/4 mile thermal flight. BTW is this kit in the new Peck line up? Jim

Well, right now there's a banner for Peck Polymers right above our messages .. I clicked on that and .. yes ... they still offer the Sky Bunny.

Go for it!

Kids in our group build a Sky Bunny at times. A 10 year old can handle it. Unforunately they fly like a 10 year old built it. Honestly, not bad at all as a kit or flier. They teach the builder a lot of skills and respont to trim adjustments. Good flights can be had!

Thanks for the heads up Applehoney. And note it's now laser cut. Dephela, they have to be easy 'cause I even had good flights with it!. Thanks for the input. Anybody else have one in their stable? Jim

Built a Sky Bunny from the Warner series in Model Builder. Was a great flier and the first plane I sacrificed to the god Hung when it went out of sight in a thermal.

How about a national (or international?) sky BUNNY duration contest on Easter? Similar to the Charles Grant Cloud Tramp idea. Any interest????????????????????

I wouldn't mind entering a competition if I could get there. But I think we should build a more difficult model like the Anna Jr.

Actually a Skybunny competition would be a lot of fun.

No, I think the Cloud Tramp contest is a 'fly where you are' type thing and everybody reports their times to a central place. That's what I meant by an Easter Sky BUNNY contest. Jim

Let me try to bring this idea to the forefront again. Would anyone be interested in participating in an Easter Day Sky Bunny Hop? The idea being to fly your Sky Bunny on Easter, record the times and post them here. Winner gets bragging rights. Extra points if your Bunny is flown by those young enough who still believe, and if they help build and cover (decorate). Maybe extra points if it looks like an Easter egg. Any interest? Get a junior flying! Post your thoughts. Jim

Jim, I'm interested. When is Easter, anyway? What kind of building rules would there be? Kevin
