The Long Nose of the Disney was aimed at the Glavak setup where the motor prop and mount combined are only 14g coupled with a 0.6g esc and to enable the use of Carbon Pushrods for Rudder and elevator. Even a 15g Hacker 1.5g mount 2g prop and 6g esc are going to move things around loads! Doesn't sound a lot but when you think its almost a 70% weight increase just for the power system it puts it all into context.

I've let Connor have my Disney as I'm developing my Dina which is very promising and quite a looker compared

Thankyou!

Unless someone gives me a Glavak, I'm not using it. I don't care if it's made of gold and weighs less than Gravity.

I shall do that then in that case, as far back as possible aslong as the leads can reach the esc, lets face it it's going to weigh nearly the same as my Afriel by the time I'm done so all this is irrelevant .

Ashley Hoyland had one today, he put a hacker on it, a normal GWS prop, no tubes, just rod, epoxy and cyano, didn't really try to make it light at all and he got 118g.

This is very true Andy, so I now have you to blame for the Glavak motor, prop and YGE7 ESC order I placed last night! I'm hoping the 0.7g ESC doesn't create too many balance issues!

In you case Connor its sense thats really lacking

Gary has gone to great lengths to lighten his motor don't forget and still had to shorten the nose by 40mm.

Everyone needs at least one Glavak

I'm gonna make this Axi set-up work, until I have to remove all the servos, replace them and buy a glavak... Which by what people are saying is an increasing worry but I shall battle on...

Just buy the Glavak Connor . As most people noticed on Sunday the Glavak is also very efficient - 9.5 minutes flight time, two complete schedules and lots of prop hanging practise with a 240mAh LiPo and 9x2.5 Glavak prop. More than enough power with this setup too.

Worth checking out Adam's Disney Connor. From what I remember at South Emshall he has an Axi 2203 strapped on the front of his.

4m / 5m of 0.7mm tube is only 15-00

2m of 1mm tube is 6-00
