It's been since 1979 since an US Ambassador has been killed. This is a very big deal.

Your hunches don't mean squat. And they differ completely with what is now understood to be factually what happened.

Be dismissive...it's what you do. Unless it does not suit you.

Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Programs Charlene Lamb testified at the House Oversight Committee Hearing today that only one security guard was with Ambassador Chris Stevens at the time of the attack on the evening of 9-11.

The security guard fled the smoke-filled building through a window and left the ambassador inside the building.

Excellent portrait of the actions taken by the Executive Branch and the State Department and I have the strange feeling that they did what they did anticipating that such would be what the President would have wanted them to do. Without proper leadership, that is often the case.

And as of 10/10/2012, the Administration still hasn't apologized for that action nor have they even offered to clean our shoes. That is a major flaw in how this President feels about the people he was to have served. Instead he services us every chance he gets and then smiles.

As I understand it, the consulate was attacked with artillery and RPGs. What kind of security force would we have had to have on hand to repel such an attack?

It was attacked by people storming it, RPGs and motors at the safe house. Our troops battle those things everyday in combat.

Mr. Obama sent those people to a knife fight with a toothpick. Hell they should have at least had an ice pick.

Right

So you'd have put a couple of tanks and an anti aircraft battery in the house yard then

They are now getting the proper equipment as usual it takes something like this to make contracts move to the top of the pile.

Welcome to the real world

Things happen as a consequence - actions invoke reactions - does that somehow puzzle you

Hopefully they will get the proper equipment in January 2013. It will help everyone except the losers.
