Hi Azza,

As long as your ESC can handle the ampdraw of the motor, nothing will happen, other than the motor turning, provided you programmed the ESC properly (if required).

Hi Azza,

Would this be an ESC for the motors in your twin motor baitboat?

Knowing what your plan is, would make it easier for us to make suggestions on what to get.

Regards, Jan.

Hi Azza,

As I asked in the other thread; measure the motors.

In the picture it looks like 700 size motors with the radio noise filter on top of the connector end.

A pair of callipers would shed some light on the length and .

Azza1985- Judging by the picture you have posted, it looks like the boat in question is around 20 long. Trying to guess as to the size of the motors, I would say, 360 to 400 size motors at the largest compared to the size of the connectors in the wiring in the hull.

A 20 amp speed control would be more than enough to power up both motors in the boat.

Hi Azza,

If you don't have the tools to measure the boat and the motors, or you can't be bothered to do so, please say so and I'll stop asking for more info in order to help you...

This does say that it is for a car. This implies that it has a brake function. If this cannot be programmed out, it will not work with a mixer. Mixers just apply speed and direction control to two motor controls in proportion to the steering channel setting, so there is no provision for a dab of reverse for braking. The current rating should be just fine, given the usual caveat that car ESCs operate with plenty of air cooling whereas boat ESC tend to be inside a sealed box. There is no mention of its voltage, so I would guess at a max of a 6 cell pack, maybe 7.

Hi Azza,

If asking for information on the subject you're asking about is perceived as being rude, than I was being rude(ish)...
Keep in mind that 'longdistance adviceing' via a forum depends on the information given by the one who asks for it.

The combined knowledge of the forummembers on the matter is vast, but very few have a (working) crystal ball, hence the need to provide information.

Regards, Jan.
