Hey jdm2ner --

A couple questions for you:

It sounds like you are running the tail boom straight out of the mechanics without using the front gear set from the RCA tail drive kit. Is that correct? If so, did you have any issues with the angle of the tail boom, since the tail on the Apache tends to slant downwards a few degrees?

Did you configure your main rotor to spin in the scale direction (CCW), or did you leave it stock and have it spin CW? I couldn't really tell from your video. It looks like it's spinning CCW, but the camera does some strange things.

Thanks!

Cm4 you are right I am not using the front short section because of that I cant make the head turn ccw do to the tail now will turn in the wrong direction. If you do use the front section than you can turn the head ccw and the tail will also spin in the correct direction. I am having a bit of clearing issue but that bad.

Sorry to hear that jdm. Do you know what caused the tail to fail? I've got my tail drive set up pretty much like yours with the metal gears.

Not sure. She was flying great for about 15 flights. I did notice once I landed the the servo was not moving too smoothly but not sure if that is from the crash or the cause of the crash. Also a saw that the set screw on the tail baled grips had moved out from the notch on the tail shaft. I have no idea. I am using the scale plastic smart model tail blades. I don't know if they had anything to do with it. Or it could have also been my ar7200bx that gave out.
