Great packs but that motor/esc can pull more. If you have a non "light" Ice controler, you can go to 7 or 8 cells. Have any matching 3 and/or 4cell batteries lying around to try? Use xoar wood props (very efficient) and im certain you can go 14x8 and 8 cells or 15x8 and 7 cells without over-amping your motor/esc.

I finished my Reactor 61 a few weeks ago and have put 6 flights on this very nice flying plane. I have the littel brother and read that this is every bit as good and better, I agree to the better but want to add a "Mo Better".

I added some LEDs today, guess I cant risist the erge to buy lights when I see them at my LHS. They operate on 12v and I use a 360 3S to power them.

Everything is stock and as the book suggest, GP .80 Futaba 9650's, E Flite 60 ESC, 2 x 3300 3S 30C in series. I have used 2 x 4000 3S 30C also, more flying time and I really dont notice any change to the flight.

What a great plane to fly, it is truly amazing and really shows in the air.

Free for the taking

I created a instrument panel that I felt was more realistic for my new Reactor Bipe. I've attached it here for anybody who would like to download and print. I only ask that you PM me and let me know if it's useful to you.

aargh, Scott,

just finished putting mine together and NOW find your beautiful panel!

I'm still downloading it just in case I open up the top!

Maidened it w/a DLE-20 today. Good match for the plane.

How does it land for you? If you've flown the smaller reactor bipe, how does it compare?

The smaller one is really "snappy" (which I like). Very responsive. The larger one has a waaay faster roll rate. pitch is not as quick (but I've just started to adjust that). Not as bad coupling on KE loops.

Landing..no problem. I prefer to land near the stall, power on but wouldn't recommend that. Rather I'd suggest a bit of power and land w/a little speed and it'll grease every time.

She's getting a custom Motor-Box , Motrofly 4320-500kv, Talon 90 ESC swinging a 16x10 APCE. Should make around 2200 watts... Oh, And Louvered Vents on the sides. My T-rex 550, 40-50c 5000mah 6s fits right in.

Very nice install! 2200W should be insane; I had about 1700W on mine and it was ballistic FWIW, I had a Turdigy 5065 400kv motor, and found an 8" pitch to work better: I tried 16x8, 16x10, and 17x8 APC's. The 16x10 would "cavitate" in hover, and suffered poor pullout as such. It did have more speed, and made snaps, tumbles and such more violent.

I think with the Little extra HP I have, it will help pull the 16X10 around without issue... But, well see??
