I wonder if there is going to be a cost for this apparent change of heart.

Lets see if non-HH distributors are still able to carry JR radios with DSM2 technology inside in 12 months from now ...

Hi Marco
You've got the answer page 6 of their english catalog :
http://www.jrpropo.co.jp/english/dl/...alog_e2012.pdf
The XG8 was tested in a french magazine with the RG831B receiver (and RA01T). The measured consumption of the receiver was a little high : 260 mA. But dropped to 120 mA without the remote antenna.
The RA01C and RA01L remote antennas have a lower power consumption, but a shorter range.

What email did you use ? I'm interested. I've got JR stuff I purchased directly at Ishiimokei, Japan, that I must send to JR Japan for service; the local importer wouldn't take it. But I've searched all over their website and was only able to find a phone number :/

Well.. I checked now: I sent to JRPropo's Facebook and a Horizon's support mail.

Thank you for checking for me ! I though you had a secret email of the Japan repair service. I have already visited their Facebook page, and based the answers they give sometime, I think there is no way they give it to me like that :/

Wishing to know the difference between the RA01T and RA01TL module, both listed as full range with the T having a chip antenna and the TL having a coax antenna but so far I have not seen what the benifits of the two are.
I also see from JR that the RA01T is rated at 4.8V but does not have a voltage range listed whereas the RA01TL is rated at 4.8V with a range of 4.0 - 8.5V and I wonder if this was omitted from the RA01T specs. or must you ensure to only power it with 4.8V?

I have been wondering if the JR 12X will be getting an upgrade with telemetry. I wish they would let us know what is planned for the future so we can plan our purchases accordingly.

It already has one, the Spektrum STi. That's why we made it, so JR users and older Spektrum radios would have access to telemetry.

No, No, I want a newly revised JR 12X with it built in.

VP

PS: Or JR 18X?

I considered a XG8. The thought of a new radio is exciting, but I still like my 9503 better. It looks good, I like the larger screen, I'm comfortable with it, it has a push button switch (which I like to use), 20 more model memory (which I need). Though the telemetry and SD card are very nice,... I've decided to just get the DSMX upgrade and get a few "X" receivers for the models I cherish the most, and slowly trade out my other receivers. I've never had a problem with Spektrum. Maybe I'll like JRs next radio better.... in about 5 years.
