Well I am here now, living in downtown Vancouver.
I have a couple blackout mini quads that I brought with me, but I haven't been able to find anywhere suitable to fly them, so they have remained in the box, which is killing me.

I don't have a car yet, so I cant get too far, but I can use public transport.
Anyone know any places accessible I can at least satisfy my need to fly?
Anyone want to meet up? I know the weather is not great, but I also have a lot of free time, so I can head out anytime.

Here is a sample of how I fly, with the F1 Spec(which I have with me)

Where in downtown are you? I just moved here last month and am in the same situation, no car so can't get far. I live on West Georgia, very close to Stanley park. i checked out a few parks around here and the Coal Habour and Stanley Park area can be pretty good for proximity flying or mini racing. You can't fly too high because the seaplanes fly right above the tree top though.

I fly a Flip 360 and now waiting for my ZMR250 to arrive. I'm still looking for job so pretty free too. We can meet this weekend if the weather is nice. What do you think?

The Speed Studio Bluetooth Bee is a BT device to pair up with my iPad. I can't seem to wrap my head around this. It does recognized the device on com5. I need to get it working on a baud rate of 57600. I should be able to recognize it on my iPad.

If anyone understands this, any help would be appreciated.

What are you ultimately trying to do with it? Are you using a PC to configure the baud rate? You should be able to discover the bluetooth device whenever it has power, but you won't be able to configure it's settings by bluetooth.

1.Use a terminal program (I like putty or teraterm)to connect to the Bee via USB. Connect to the right com port with these settings: Baud rate: 38400, Data bits:8, Stop bit:1,Parity:No parity

2.Send "\r\n+STBD=57600\r\n"

Those details are in the wiki you linked, but these things usually require some fiddling.

By the way, apple really locks down Bluetooth serial connections unless it's BLE or the device manufacturer has gone through a licencing process. If it doesn't specifically say that it works with Apple products, it may not. Unless something has changed in the past year..

I was able to get it to connect with my iPad last night. It took some fiddling but I was able to get it connected, via my PC. I did change the baud rate to 57600, as the MK wants this. I'm using it as a connection between my MK and i devices. Unforntuantely, it doesn't recognize it when powered down and powered on my MK, just the two green flashes. I did do the AT command to pair up again when powered. I do have some X-bee wifi modules coming. I like the XTCU program and it will recognize the wifi modules.
