You're right. That was what I was going to do. Then I decided not to.

Incidentally, The careful editing, linking and categorising that you see in Post 2 (and sub-posts 5 and 6 which are linked to from post 2) Happened by pure frikkin' chance and took no time or effort what so ever on my part. Nor did deleting the pages and pages of kindly and helpfully suggested suggestions - the source of which seems to be magically credited in the relevant links when possible.

It would seem that when things stack up in this thread, someone hacks into my account, sorts though all the suggestions, puts them in relevant places and sends out a polite note to say "thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate your help and support" (or something similar) before deleting the suggestion from record - and then logs out again... Magic I tell you.

At the moment I'm busy trying to balance A new house, a desire to go into production on the Retox and no internet at home. You'd be amazed how low down the priority list a seldom-visited FAQ post can get...

While a FAQ has it's uses, I don't think that anything can beat a good "search."

FAQs become outdated and sometimes contain information that might not be agreed upon by the rest of the users in the forum. Not to say that this FAQ isn't absolutely wonderful the way it is - but if someone decides to complain about how it's run then maybe they should be pointed to the search engine as that is something that is free and easy to use, not to mention it's maintained very well; organizing the posts by date and ratings and whatnot.

For the record I think this FAQ is very well managed as it's not very easy to organize and update an average FAQ even when someone does have the time to do it.

I'm building a new slope soarer. Anyone know the performance value of having straight leading edges as opposed to tapered leading edges. Likewise the trailing edges? Some answers or a link to some info would be much appreciated.

Ian.

As long as we are talking about no more than about 5 degrees sweep in any direction (LE or TE) there will be not much impact on the performance at all.

Good stuff Tom... Post the link once it's done.
