It was £39.39 and no there was no duty charge although the custome declaration was correctly stated. This of course, is no guarantee they won't jump in future but I had a Fox from Revo-shop as well and that wasn't charged either. I work on the basis that I expect the customs declaration to be filled out so there's no intent to deceive and if I collect duty so be it. The only thing that ticks me off is the excessive parcelfarce collection charge.

The first one they sent was allegedly returned damaged and then they were out of stock so it took about five weeks to get it but they kept in communication. Only thing I found tricky today was that flying against a light hazy sky she goes invisible if flying away from you but to be fair she was up with a white 3.75m Discus and that had the same problem. In slightly challenging conditions, mix of slope lift, thermal and a-lot-of-no-lift-at-all, she was outclimbing the Discus no bother!

no, i'm cornish, i'm more in to wrecking and moonraking

if you want blades visit an art shop and buy a box of 100, much cheaper than buying packets via the hobby shops.

Does anyone know why these planes are for sale on Ebay for two different prices? Currently 5 Speedo Thermos are going for $35.95 and 4 are going for $39.17. The situation is similar with most of the planes from this vendor.

On UK eBay the price varies from £19.99 to £20.05 depending on whether the price is actually given in £stg or eBay has converted it from Euros or $Au.

Don't know if the $US has gone as soft against the $Au in the last week as it has against £Stg but that might account for it. Converting £19.99 back to $Au and then to $US gets me to about $40US. I'd like one at $35.95 US - £17.93!

Incidentally going back to the UK import duty thing my experience is that whatever the official line I can't remember ever being hit for a duty charge on something that has cost less than £40 including shipping - maybe I just got lucky?

As satinet says the instructions(???) really don't tell you anything that isn't obvious. On the other hand what they don't mention is that you would be well advised to reinforce the fuselage in the vicinity of the wing mounting area and they also don't tell you how to join the wing halves together. Having flown mine for a while now (guess how I come to know the fuselage needs reinforcing) I've come to the conclusion that simply taping the wings together would have been enough.

Also they don't make it clear that mounting the aileron servos is easiest (it was for me anyway) by fastening them with hot melt glue to the servo covers rather than the wing itself and then just screwing the covers to the wing.

Satinet I don't remember getting servo covers but if you're waiting then these are the ones I used http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Moravska-Mini-...QQcmdZViewItem

Enjoy the plane - it is admired by my fellow club members and flies very nicely, although it needs a bit of breeze.

I just wish I could buy more at the Revshop price without having it pretty much doubled by the shipping costs!

not sure what you're saying roger - hot melt them to servo covers, then you say it doesn't come with them?

anyway, you're right in all your points. I glued my servos to the covers, as you mention but i used bit of superglue to tack them on. it was more than i thought. one of the servos was dud and i couldn't get it off and ended up breaking the cover. a 9mm servo wont fit into the wing unless you recess it in the servo cover. I tape my wing together, exepct where i glued on a ply plate for the wing bolt. which i changed to a plastic one. Will reinfornce the wing seat when the replacement cover arrives.

Bit fiddly to get the gear in due to the small fuse. not sure on cofg. some people are saying over 60mm., one guy has it at 75mm.
