New Powerlab 6 problem

Just received a PL6 combo 7 which includes an MPA adapter and balance cable. I have it connected to an Efuel 540w 9-18v 30amp power supply. I can't seem to charge any type of battery as I get Safety Code 46: SVC Reset System errors after starting any charge profile. I can monitor and discharge any battery type successfully and I have also used an older 4S charger with the Efuel pwr supply as well. When starting a charge, the unit never even begins to draw any real power from the power supply. What I mean is, the amp display on the Efuel never shows any amperage draw before it throws out the error and stops. I've checked the connectors and changed it to banana plugs and also just connected the wires directly to the posts and nothing helps. I did set the PL6 for JST-XH wiring at the beginning. I'm using the charge control software. I'm out of options with settings and have researched other forums with no answers.

Any help would be appreciated.

May be a supply issue, or connection issue between supply and the charger. I would not use bullets, use an EC5. Test with a different power supply. You can use your car battery or a LiPo (for testing only). Also verify your low supply settings are not too low and the current limit on the charger is set to 30 amps.

I have used another supply and this morning I connected to a car battery. The one in my truck. Same error. The thing you have to realize is, Im testing this using a small 3 cell Lipo's of 500ma. The charge is 1c. It doesn't need very much current from the source to charge a battery like this. I have tested with NIMH and a Gel Cell as well. All give the same error. I'm sure that the connection to the supply battery was good. I've also re-flashed the firmware (ver 1.10) and checked the supply settings. I changed from power supply to battery on the supply settings as I tested with different supply sources. I'm out of Ideas as this time. Any other ideas or suggestions are welcome. I'm going to take to the flying field this morn. to try with other guys charge systems. I'll post my findings.

Mike

Finally got my PL6 back from FMA and it works as it should now.
Took 4 weeks, but I am good to go. I have been limping by with an old
4s charger and now I can really use all this charger has to offer.

Thanks, FMA

I'm having the same problem. That's great to hear that they fixed it for you, but 4 weeks is like most of my flying season

I've sent an email out to them, so hopefully I can get it sent out as early as tomorrow.
