I use a lrs system on 433 MHz, the chainlink.

I went 5km with close to 100% rssi.

When I use the Internal 2.4, I use FrSky D8R ll receiver.

Nice. I was looking at the RangeLink UHF and was getting ready to buy then all of a sudden the EZUHF JR module came out that fits in Taranis TX bay. I have heard mixed reviews about the EZUHF module so not sure what to get. For now just keeping my planes close in using Spektrum radio with Cyclops Storm OSD in the event go out of range. I definitely think FPV would be great in Edge 540 when doing some aerobatics. Also great feeling when landing with FPV view. Not sure if my skills are good enough for such a sensitive plane, more used to docile FPV flying .

you think you can fly 3D while in fpv?
think again...

TBH I never got the interest to fly fpv, doesn't excite me at all. I prefer to punish planes in the air rather than observing the scenery.

What about if you crash? Think about all the years needing therapy and rehabilitation

HAHA, my crash ratio in LOS is greater than FPV.

it's crazy how fast you get to use to FPV, then when you fly LOS and come nose in, you get all disoriented !

That's funny you say that. I have always flown LOS and when I tried FPV for the first time it really freaked me out. Even though I was wearing googles my brain was still thinking plane is coming towards me, left and right are revered. It took a good 10-15 flight before I felt comfortable. Now I can fly both ways even though 80 percent of my flying is LOS. I'm not really into the long distance flying more just doing circuits maybe a maximum of 1km out. What I really enjoy is landing FPV which takes some getting used to. That's what I love about this hobby, there are so many different modes of flight. I have done gliders, sport flying, fast racers, FPV, and now getting into 3D. The big problem is I never get good at anything . I sure do have lots of fun though. It's also amazing how different planes have totally different flight characteristics. My Edge 540 flies totally different then my Piper Cub, which I just love.

Works.

I got caught by rain but had time to trim.

Not easy to land FPV in a crosswind lol

Great flight. I think you need to remove those curbs from your runway . With the edge 540 being lighter and a higher profile fuselage it is very susceptible to crabbing in cross wind landings. Good news it looks like your gear held up .
