I've used HXT 900 without problems in all surfaces for years now, only piece I change in order to have a stronger servo is a metal gear, both in links below.

The HXT 900 has a pretty good reputation; I just got a few more in this week. However, I don't use the nylon geared micro servos in planes that I've got a lot of time in, in any larger electrics or in my helis. The tiny gear trains just don't have enough mass to stand up under hard usage or in helis where the servo loads reverse every revolution of the main rotor.

I use metal geared servos even though I give up 3 grams or so in weight. Generally you'll get a little more torque in the trade, so the additional weight is not all dead weight.

The EMAX ES08MA is typical; the TP MG90 has a little more torque. The cost from HeadsUP RC is higher than HobbyKing, but the shipping cost is much less (flat rate $2.00) and shipping time is significantly faster.

Wasn't aware Headsup had a 'decent' shipping policy.
Very Few do :. Will have to try buying from them .

Hobbypartz.com has the MG90's too. I think they're a flat rate $4 shipping or if you order a $50 minimum it's free US shipping from CA. Hard to beat Headsuprc for great service though!

A little Googleing on Hobbypartz might be in order to get an idea on their customer service.

I have had excellent service from HeadsUp RC --- and would rather support them with the intent of keeping them in business. They'll get my dollar votes as a US owned and operated company.

I've had good service from Hobbypartz, but I agree, you do see a lot of complaints about them. I was just offering a cheaper alternative as I've always been very satisfied with them. HeadsUp is a good company to deal with.

You're quite correct --- the reviews are all over the place with folks like yourself having had good service and others who are not at all happy. And, their pricing is some of the best available on the internet --- certainly a plus in their favor.

LOL Alcarafa..... Yeah, I'm certainly not implying there are no issues. I hate folks who post with opinions like "well, I haven't had any issues so no issues exist".... especially folks on radio forums! LOL Good luck with it New!
