Brand-new Jeti ESC problem
I have a brushless Jeti 30-3P ESC that I put 3 flights on today for the first time. I'm running a Mega 16/15/5 with a 8 x 1650 AA NiMh Sanyo pack; Unicorn EPP wing.
I had a VERY minor nose-in on my third flight from about 10 feet up at slow speed. After this, the motor started acting very weird, sort of sputtering slowly when throttle is applied then cutting off almost immediately. It no longer beeps as it should when I plug the pack in.
What could I have possibly done to it? It was almost a complete non-crash and I don't see how I could have damaged the thing.
Any suggestions before I start ripping it out my new Unicorn?
Man, this hobby is a lot of work sometimes...

I would bet that you bent the shaft or caused some other damage to the motor and it it binding and drawing too much amperage.
Do you have another motor to check the esc on? I would check the motor very carefully. Even "minor" crashes (10 feet is pretty high) can cause significant damage.
