It's hard to have more fun than what we experienced today. Beautiful day with light winds at their worst. Ideal temps and lift that kept you guessing at times. I know I was guessing my last two rounds.
J.A. again fed the masses with some fine dogs. Thanks John!
Lee kept Vicki humming along today and all the rounds announced correctly.
Randy, "Chainsaw" West let his flying do the talking instead of using his plane as a weapon.
What would the day have been like had we been launching to 100m? I have a feeling we will know next month.

Thanks, Lee!

The group today was fun, cordial and some pretty darn good flying...especially Junior!

My model didn't suffer too much damage from the stupid mistake I made by forgetting to screw on the nose cone after a battery change.

Snaque and I had a good time and appreciate all the guys and gals putting up with our most well-behaved new poodle pup.

Thanks, Lee for putting on a good show.

It was great to see "Gentleman" Ford Rollo and "Dapper" Mike Roseberry back on the flight line. You guys rock!

Thank you Lee and John for putting on this weekends ALES contest. John started out strong and was consistent until the round of sink got him but he was still ahead enough to hang onto first place. What a fun time with a really great group of guys. As Ed said, it was awesome to see Mike, Ralph and Ford come out again to play with us. With the exception of the sink round the air was generally pretty active and full times were possible. Can't wait to do it again soon.

Which altitude limiter is recommended and where are they available?

Rev Iain, are they available thru your shop. I have a 2.5m Omega electric, runs off of a 3 cell 2200 LiPo.

Thanks,
Bob P.

Bob, the altitude limiter for F5J is the Altus v4. They are available from either SUSA or Esprit. There is a slight price difference between them I think so check both sites. There is a seperate "keyboard" controller I also recommend getting at the same time. It's not too much $$ and it allows you to easily change the basic settings off the Altus at the field without the need for a computer/laptop. You download a free software app' from Altusmeturm.com (PC only) and use it to do more advanced work with the Altus plugged into your PC via a USB cable. Lots of good stuff in the software! The Altus will easily run off your Omega's LiPo setup. It plugs in series between your Rx and ESC. I hope this helps. If I overlooked anything important I'm sure Lee or someone else will chime in.
BTW, if you just want to keep using your CAM, we have been fine with that at our contests.

We do not stock the limiters at the store as there is not enough demand. Espirit is the best source.

I have a spare and I'm sure others do, too. We'll set you up. See you there!
