Kadet LT 40 Kit (parts list)

Hi, I'm looking for help getting a parts list together for my Kadet. I will be building this from a kit and this is all new to me. I have a Spektrum DX7s tx and need to know what to purchase so I can get this RTF.

So far I will be going with a O.S. 46AXII for an engine and uh thats about as far as I have gotten. What exactly do I need? I know I need to purchase a reciever, battery pack, servos, servo wire extensions etc. But am a bit overwhelmed by it all. So heres a list of what i think I need and what I will be getting.

Engine
OS .46AXII

Props
APC 10.5 x 6
APC 11x7
APC 12x7

Servos
A6050 Standard Aircraft Servo x4

Fuel Pump
911 Kwik Fill Fuel Pump

Reciever
AR600 6-CH SPORT DSMX RECEIVER

If anyone could fill in missing components it be much appreciated... i know i need a battery pack but which one?

that is a great start!

I can assume then that this is your first Internal combustion plane?

to round out what you need too make this ready to fly! you will need say a 8oz or 10oz fuel tank and fuel lines!

a switch too turn the plane on, and a charge receptical would be helpfull!

I like control rods, such a dubro! http://www.advantagehobby.com/23730/DUB500/?pcat=685

lets not forget tires, if your flying off grass, you will need larger tires!

I just checked the sig site! didn't know that the LT comes with a fuel tank and wheels! so scratch those!

I have only built the senioreta, and the kadet Jr! if the LT fly's anything like them, you will be very happy!

I would also consider some 30 min. epoxy. some slow jet, and some thin jet! and an exacto knife! an assorted pack of sandpaper, that goes from 220 to 400!

Definetly recommend you look at 6.6v LiFe receiver packs. I have been using a 1100mah from hobbyking that is less than $5 and have been very pleased. From what I understand the higher voltage and higher amperage of the LiFe packs is desirable, servos faster/stronger. The LiFe chemistry is also very reliable and you dont have to worry about memory effects like you would with NiCd. The linked is what I have been using, the picture is incorrect it comes with standard connector to plug into your switch. You will need a capable charger that can do LiFe.

Below is a nice combo with manual fuel pump, glow driver, glow plug wrench, and chicken stick. I skipped buying the whole 12v field box battery setup. Using a chicken stick is pretty simple on a small engine, I upgraded later to a lipo powered starter. Make sure you have extra props and glow plugs, typical OS#8 or #7.

You will also need fuel line and fittings for getting the fuel from your fuel bottle

I like having one side from the bottle coiled:

And finally I prefer actual spinners for my planes, it looks nicer Cant go wrong with a Tru-Turn spinner! But the spinner nut you listed will work fine or just use the plastic spinner that comes with your plane kit. The engine will come with a prop nut.

You don't need a chicken stick if you have a starter unless you're thinking of a backup. A venom battery may not have the connection you need...check that before you buy and check the price between Venom and say JR or Futaba

The LT40 comes with a spinner too, btw. No need to buy another one.

I just got one to teach my fiancee how to build. She is having a blast.
