Yeah way too expensive but they're selling a complete aerial mapping solution complete with a parachute option!

I haven't found that anybody sells that particular plane. I've seen some photos of some students in Russia that were making a similar plane though.

If it's a good design it's bound to have been copied a couple of times. Somebody has one for sale someplace.

I still say you should have a go at building one. Lets take another look at one of the planes you first posted...

Here's how you could put together something similar...

Head to your local hobby shop & pick up some light plywood, maybe hit a hardware store for some foam board & a bottle of Gorilla Glue & you're in business. If you don't want to get involved in building a tail, maybe find some old beat up plane. Hack off the nose then sandwich the donor fuselage/tail between the plywood of your FPV pod, lots of glue & presto, you have a custom FPV fuselage.

Nodd,

any ideas on how to put Wings on?
If nylon screws are used, that would be great!
I hate rubber bands...they are never tight enough!

I have been watching the development of this plane from the start. It was designed by a kid in Russia, called Sodefi, he is quite a pro in molding carbon fiber...don't quite know if and how he is connected to the commercial company which seems to use his design. Just Google 'elf mini fpv', you will get many hits to look at, there is a video on YouTube showing him molding the fuse pod, test flights..

(double post).

Just wondering who makes these types of gliders for Aerial Photo flying
I really like the glider open front with tractor style prop.

Thank You....

Much simpler, home made, version of this type would be like this one:

Šarka FPV plane (1 min 30 sec)

Here is a huge thread on building something very similar but simple.

Rubber bands would be the simplest, just stick some dowels through the sides & you're done.

Nylon bolts would need something sturdy to mount to. I'd drill a hole in a couple of small blocks of wood. Stick a blind-nut in there then glue to blocks between the fuselage's plywood sides, one at the LE, another at the TE. Drill holes in the wing then thread in the bolts...

Same deal for mounting the motor & the FPV gear. Just bridge the space between the two plywood sides with wood wherever you need a hard-point.
