What projects are you building/finishing due to bad weather?

Ok so I'm sure if you had time to fly then you've got time to finish your little projects. And what a perfect time to do so on these gloomy rainy days!

So for me I have been putting off a few things that I just haven't had time for. But I guess I do now that I'm grounded.
To do list...

1. Labeling my radio switches. My Radio has so many switches I keep forgetting what does what, whats on whats off. I almost always turn on autopilot the second my plane comes on. So this little mod will really help.

2. Route my audio to my cars sound system. I've always wanted to give a bigger, more in depth experience when I FPV. So why not put it through all 6 speakers of my Cars stereo!

3. Clean up the Ground station wires. In my opinion, a great ground station no # 1 works, but it looks clean & it makes for a relatively fast and easy setup. So the less wires that need to be plugged in & routed, plugged in and re-routed the better. I am just doing an overall more efficient setup with that.

All pics to follow..

Anyone else have any projects their finishing?

Yes!

I am building up a gopro carbon fiber tilt mount for my quadcopter.
I also need to test fly the thing and take out all the bugs before XMAS, if I can do that, I will get some great footage.

After new years, I will start to redo my ez glider. I really want to give the plane thing a try again...

Back to work...

I am building the second version of my twinstar with headlight.
Got pretty much everything ordered, just need my ESC/motors and the new CREE XM-L power leds.

I've got a couple projects I need to work on... I've got a big wing I may work on, make it fit my Slow Stick fuselage so it's interchangeable. Still just a thought, but it would be a simple task!

I've also got a twin, a Dynam Skybus. I'm seriously considering rigging it for FPV, but I need to test fly it a bit more first and get it dialed in. It's a pretty nice plane with about the same wing area as the Easy Glider.

That would be awesome. I've never flown FPV with sound.

Cheers, Kev.

Kev,
Give audio a go, It adds another valuable and enjoyable sense.
You can hear what your motor is doing and if your servos are jittering.
Hear the wind when you power-off and the ground when you touch down.
You can even hear when your ESC beeps.

Cool thread

I'm currently finishing my Ritewing Zephyr.
Also got a BattleAxe and a Phoenix 2000 to build.

Will post pictures when later this week.

Keith, pictures of the SlowStick please
I've been toying around with the thought of a SS just for flying around the house with.
