Mini Graphite as F5F machine

Hi Guys, I have just been doing some surfing for a New F5F machine, and wondered if those who have the graphite can give any info on weather it would make a good F5F machine.

Cheers

Shaun

It should do well at club level but probably wouldn't stand up to national comps. I just got mine and have a Hacker F5F motor, 10 zapped cp2400 and a 16x10 prop to start out with. I plan on moving up to a 16x16 after I start flying it. I haven't flown my MG yet, I'm still waiting for servos. I let you know how it turns out.

It will certainly go on 10 cells and a hot motor, but it may be a bit small for competition.

It certainly climbs, thermals and spot lands well, and has a flat glide. Weight will be a disadvantage, and speed might not be as high as a Spiro-e or Surprise 10, for example. But it is cheaper and probably nearly as good, depending on your piloting skills. The fastest plane won't win if it goes off course even once in a tight comp.

I love mine, but haven't tried it on a course yet, as we don't have one locally. Might get to try it out next month in San Diego (MWE event).

Thanks Guys, I think it would be neat to get one on a course and she how she performs. I suspect it might surprise us!

Cheers
