New Product
Horizonhobby selling Seagull UltraJet

Just saw this on their new releases section

http://www.horizonhobby.com/products...61-arf-SEA159B

I remember reading somewhere that Horizon/Hangar9 were moving their models to Seagull.

This one looks interesting to try.

Just received one a week ago. Model went together very easily. However, I think it would have been better had they offer the plane with air retracts instead of mechanical retracts. I also think clearer instructions are needed regarding the control surface deflection. The instructions give a value for the aileron, but nothing is mentioned about elevator travel. This is no big problem, but I hate using guesses on any maiden flight as it may result in the only flight for the model. Anyway, looking forward to get the plane airborne this weekend if weather permits.

Did you do an electric conversion?

There is no manual posted on the HH website, so it is unclear whether or not Seagull provides parts/info for EP. I believe most of their newer designs are supposed to be glow/EP friendly.

Yes, I did the electric conversion, but did not use the standoffs and other items sent with the plane for this purpose. I am using a Scorpion heli motor which mounts from the front. With 8s and a 12x12 apc e prop, should easily pull 3200+watts.

I got one of those as well, and I'm thinking to use a Heli motor 700 class as well.

I suppose it will pull 4.100 watts at 12s.

Did you maiden yours? How it was?
