Hobbyking Geebee R2 1.20?
Anyone own the Hobbyking Geebee R2 1.20?
How is the quality of this model?

The plane quality usually isn't a problem. But the spring loaded landing gear which looks very impressive can have problems. The fork for the wheel bolts onto the bottom of the strut and it can turn or twist when landing or taking off. So people have trouble with it. I have no nice solution for it either.
I have a kit myself, but I haven't put it together yet. I was going to make a sheet metal bracket and drill and tap the strut for a screw or pin to help keep the bracket in place and see if that helps keep the fork from twisting or not. I have also thought about maybe making a notch on the end of the strut and making a matching groove in the fork to help keep in place too.
I had visions of putting in a Saito 180 or 200 radial engine in to the plane, but now I think I'll just go with a four stroke single cylinder engine instead. I have several engines, but I am leaning towards a Enya 1.20 or 1.55 though, for the extra weight up front.
