Ni-cad 1400 ae Charging help

I have a super brain 959 Charger and i am going to charge my 8kr 1400 ae batteries for the first time Could someone give a newbie a few tips on how to charge. I have had 3 gas planes for a while now and wanted to try electric, so i got a wing warrior.

Any help would be great

Welcome to the forums Todd.

The best thing for your pack is a slow charge at 140ma for 12-16 hours. This equalizes the voltage of the individual cells within the pack. Then you can fast-charge at up to 3 amps and discharge at up to 20 amps. Any higher discharge and the pack voltage drops alot.

If your charger will not go that low, perhaps you have a Tx charger that you could make an adaptor to fit your pack (observe proper polarity) and charge for 24-30 hours instead. They should be warm when you finish.

I think you'll like flying electric.
