Careful!
Programming the Sukhoi SU-29MM

Hey all,

This is my first thread post, I joined earlier today.

But what I really wanted dot talk about was that if you are buying a new Parkzone Sukhoi SU-29MM, it is IMPERATIVE that you read ALL the programming instructions for the SAFE technology, especially if you have a DX6i transmitter. If you don't follow all the directions EXACTLY as described, the plane will be unflyable. I wish that the AR636 receiver would have a little more leeway regarding programming, but oh well, what're ya gonna do. If you didn't read the manual, I'll just put how to program the SAFE flight modes here. This is for DX6i users. Anyway, I have about 3 flights on my Sukhoi, and it's quite the plane. Parks one really outdid themselves this time around, but they could have used a different receiver.

Step 1: Reverse the gear channel.
Step 2: Go to Adjust List Menu and go to Travel Adjust.
Step 3: Set Gear/F mode (switch position 0) to up 100%.
Step 4: Set Gear/F mode (switch position 1) to down 40%.
Step 5: Go to flaps and and set the normal position to 100%. Then set the landing position to down 100%.
Step 6: Go to Mix 1 and set it to ACT; Go to Gear and set it to Gear ACT, set Rate D 0% U, + 100%, SW Mix, Trim INH

And you're done. The Gear and Mix switches now operate the SAFE modes and the Flap switch operates Panic Recovery. Hope this helps. All in all, The Sukhoi SU-29MM is a pretty good plane, but programming is a pain.

See ya!
