Do you need any adjustment and on which axis?

You can use a simple manual tilt all the way to a fully stabilized roll, tilt and pan. What is your weight budget? You need to specify more so we have a better idea.

Hi.

I am interested in a 2 axis mount that is fully stabilized.

All mount i have find is to big and heavy or to small!

Something like 200-350gram should be perfekt.

It must be a big market for a 2 axis mid size mount, for cameras like Sony Nex5n or Panasonik GH2.

A smaller version of the Photoship one MKTR professional,or some thing like that is what i am looking after!

Regards,Richard.

if you have a scarab the mount they sell would do nice for roll stabilization (most important IMO)

I was looking at the averticalview's 5" belt gimbal
http://www.averticalview.com/2_axis_.html

The AV130 and PSO MKTR are both nice and will work well.

but for low cost and what looks like good performance

The new PSO 3 axis copter mount looks nice, if it is under $1K that will be a nice mount for sure

Yes you are right. Most gimbals are designed for the big boys and the GoPro. Nothing in between that is really good. That's why I started to make my own. instead. Fortunately there may be some help in the horizon soon.

the two I posted were exactly for the size. The scarab one is build for his copter and has shown good results for 1 axis (roll)

the vertical view mount also looks nice for the price and size, but few actual units are out there.....

If i didnt get a 3 axis full size I would have bought the verticalview 5" belt version (still might)

Take a look at these;

I just got the MD2 for my Lumix GH2. It seem like a good mid line mount.
haven't tried it out - it'll be a while yet.

I just got the MD also. I bought the one a little larger so I can carry my video cam. Mounting it today actually. The MD2 is 6x4. The MD PS2 is 5 x3
This is the manual showing a Canon DSLR with plenty of room to spare:

I asked several people about the Avertical View and they didn't think it worked well...
The Photohigher AV130 is getting good grades but it is expensive...(like 2x as much)

We are releasing a new DSLR mount in the next few weeks - It will be a direct drive to keep the price low - Vibration reduction is built into the mount - I should have one assembled by the end of the week - (if all the parts arrive) - Camera size will go up to 6.5"wide 5.3"high - Price point will be under $100 - More info will be posted here - www.facebook.com/X468HD

+1 ..

I also need a gimbal..
Not so easy to find one that is solid and not so heavy.
I would also like a belt one.

Cant find any that fit the NEX5 (not to big and not GoPro small)
