Been looking around for a set of plans for a bush/fly anywhere type plane. What would you guys recommend?

What is a 'bush' plane ?. The general view seems to be a model with extra large wheels.

Have a look at this list, choose one, then search to see if there is a plan --

Here's a video I like. I guess this is what I would call bushplanes.

Looks nice Jim. Is that DTF? That's what I'm planning to use.

I use foamboard exclusively. It's technically a Lil Sister rubber band balsa tissue plane I upscaled from a picture of plans on my phone...

Very nice. You know how people take Multi View drawings of planes and make a model out of them? How do they do that? I'd like to try but it seems ridiculously difficult.

Grab a plan lile this:
http://richard.ferriere.free.fr/3vues/piper_pa18_3v.jpg
Drop it on to a memory stick and take it to a place where they can print it to the size you need.
The lines will be fuzzy but it's easy enough to see what you need to do to build it.
Give it BIG wheels and flaps and plenty of power and there's your bush plane.
Or scale it up and draw it on paper. That's what people did for hundreds of years before CAD.
Or drop the 3 view into SketchUp and trace it and make templates. See the SU thread on how to do this.

Thanks Whiskers, I'll give that a try.

Or, you could just build a Blu-Baby and put giant tires and stout landing gear on it. See below.

(At the risk of being sacreligious here on the scratchbuilt forum, I have to say that just picking up one of these all-time great ARFs might also be considered.)

I designed this to be a good bushplane, based on the Champ, i changed the wing and tail a bit for better performance.

It's my new favorite plane, i LOVE flying from my little mountain airfield with it.

Wow Rusty, that looks great! Loved the video as well. I think I'll build one of these after Christmas.
