New FLYSKY T6 with LCD

Looks like they put an LCD screen onto a CT6A/B

http://www.hobbypartz.com/79p-t6-6ch-radio-lcd.html

This thread is to discuss the FlySky T6 Transmitter w/ LCD
This is NOT a CT6B or the 9Ch transmitter but a new one that has come out in 2012.

Since this does NOT look like the Turnigy one, this thread is to only cover (please) the support and discussion of the Flysky one. HOWEVER, everyone is free to compare and contrast this Tx with any other one if people wish to ask.

EDIT: Mine is due in Sept 5th

Note: I found the Manual on the FCC website so this thing has the proper FCC listing and testing.
Based on the manual and the photos of the Turnigy one that people have said is the same, I believe they are NOT the same unit (at this time) and shall treat it as different.

Here is the an info page that will grow along with a link to the manual (the manual was too large to upload to RCG)

My friend ordered a Hobbypartz one and will be asking me to help him train with an airplane so I'll at least be able to comment on the Hobbypartz one.

I ordered one on Monday & already have the tracking number, it's due in here on Tuesday 9/4 & I will post a comparison with my Turnigy 9X once I get a chance to take a good look at the radio. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the FlySky FS-T6 is compatible with my Turnigy 9X & Hobbyking receivers, it should be. However, a guy from Hobbypartz sent me an email saying "he didn't believe it was compatible" but I think he is wrong. Anybody know for sure?

I would be surprised if they designed a whole new Rx for it.
The manual states the RX is the FS-R6B which is the current generation of Rx for the CT6B. I have one of those myself as well as the old original non frequency hopping ones, so I can test with both.

The specs don't seem to say but I am assuming this FS-T6 transmitter is Mode 2 ?? (I sure hope so, yikes!)

I'd hope so
Section 15.08 in the manual, you can program this.
Hopefully, the sticks are already set to Mode 2 for the throtle.

Come to think of it my Turnigy 9X has the ability to change modes so I think you are right there.

Yes, it does, it is the mini-din connector on the back.
I saw it on the FCC report site. It just does not show up well in the manual because of the dark contrast.

I have an Esky Mini Din Trainer cable I'll take a look at. The only thing I'll be able to test is the T6 as a master and a CT6A or CT6B as the slave because the CT6A/B do not have inputs.
I have a Mini-Din trainer to USB cable though I can test for that first.

I have one of these TX and you will find that the mode comes set at mode 2 and it can be changed from 1 through 4. I have found that the scrol wheel on the left of the screen has arrows for left and right the left arrow is labeled (Down) but to move down through the menu you need to turn the wheel to the right and to go up you need to turn left. Also the wheel is a switch when you turn on the TX and get the opening screen you push the wheel in and it goes to thfe menu
