+1, It's a whole different plane the B2, with all it's mods. It's not a better plane, it's bigger.

Seems that the market wants this plane to be an FPV platform and the Bigger is about that.

I still like the Blitzrc Sky Surfer V4 better, and the the B1 kit.

Originally I assembled Bixler with default clevises and rods for ailerons. I crushed on third flight (tip stall) and found rod separate from plane with broken clevis. Reason of the crush?

Just drill small default hole with drill bits MANUALLY with step of 0.5 mm to 6 mm.
You can see small piece of tube (taken from pen) hot glued on leading edge. It prevent rudder rod from unneccessary bend. When it's bend rudder works worse.
In fuselage I glued small piese of tube (taken from foam sprey) which hold 6x75 mm nylon bolt in proper position and doesn't allow smash the fuselage when you screw it in.

I like your PVC motor mount! Would you mind explaining exactly what type of adapter it is? I live in the USA and unfortunately PVC is measured in English units. Do you think a 3/4" to 1 1/4" adapter would work?

For a 28mm motor, you can use either a:
3/4" to 1" adapter and grind out the middle with a dremel
OR
1" - 1-1/4" adapter which works out perfectly - no grinding - but, it had a bigger O.D.
Finally, Read page #1 Post #3 of this thread. There are several motor mount methods.

morning all

i have just fitted an APC 6x4 prop onto my Bixler, it seems to be alot slower than the standard prop

anyone else noticed this?

the writing on the prop is facing the rudder so im guessing its the correct way around?

No - big mistake - words on the prop always face to the front.
You were probably only getting 60% thrust.
Turn it round and have some fun

Just divide size in mm on 25.4. You will get inches. Size I mentioned is internal diameter of adapter. Just take sliding caliper with you to shop and find what is better for you. Small external diameter should be as default motor - 26mm ~ 1inch.
Bigger external diameter should be as size of "X" mount plate of YOUR motor. Then you need to cut unneccessary length from bigger side. Be ready that CG will be moved backward. I put almost all washers back in nose as I haven't extra electronics even with 2200mah battery.

just an update, my bixler is a whole lot better with the new prop (6x4) the correct way

it seems to basically go verticle at full throttle an will quite gladly fly around on 15 - 25%

im worried that i had to make a channel in my fuselage for the prop though an others didnt

On my skyS, I cut about 2-3mm off the tips of the prop to give it enough clearance. Mine is a v4.

I'll post what I have done to it when I get home.

Hope this is correct please proof this and tell me if this is right.
Athow this right way wrong way prop problem is evident to me now is was not when I started building planes. If all this is right it might help someone.

Nope. There are many props out there that have the letters/numbers on the back of the props. i.e. putting the letters forward applies to APC props but not to props made by Multiplex. Everyone should disregard any letters or numbers anywhere on the prop and follow the picture below to make sure that the prop is oriented correctly.
