Help!
DX18 is a $700 paper weight!

I've got a brand new DX 18 purchased from Horizon Hobbies and the throttle stick makes the aileron and elevator operate as if mixed to the throttle. No mixes have been made. The transmitter is a mode 2, and the right stick is useless. I have been through all the menus, and read the manual, nothing is mentioned to have it work like a normal radio. What's up?

In helo mode? Sailplane mode? Do you know what you're doing?

Start by erasing the model and starting fresh, check the servo monitor and see if all operates properly.

If it does then you know your previous model has some programming doing something.

If I'm default blank model it still does this then contact hh and have it serviced.

As for the comment for reverse, never mind him he's a troll and does nothing but troll in spektrum threads.

I probably don't know what I am doing!

I loaded in a fresh copy of airwave, which turns off the registration nag. I loaded up a fresh heli mode model, aileron, elevator and throttle still coupled. I loaded in a fresh sail plane, aileron, elevator and throttle still coupled. I placed an inquiry to Horizon and am awaiting reply.

The helo mode using normal 120 degree awash will move the three cyclic servos with throttle so that's normal. If you have a sailplane loaded and have crow on throttle stick it will move ailerons, flaps and elevator compensation. Sailplanes have the servos plug in a different order to the receiver so that may cause some confusion.

It sounds like it is doing what it's supposed to. Look at the monitor screen.

Load a airplane with no mixing and try that. If all else fails find a club member that knows radios and get a short tutorial. Where are you located?

Create a new Acro Model. If any of the primary control moves another control then you should send it in/back. There is something like warranty, and Spek's service is top.

You could be outside learning to ride your tricycle.

He's also an unhappy DX8 owner, and apparently now (based on his posts) an unhappy Jeti owner.
