I was wondering if I could put a Walkera RX in my DH 9116 and use my Walkera TX to fly it. Has anyone done this? Was it successful? Which Walkera RX did you use?

You could probably do it with the transmitter and receiver unit from the CB180D. There might be other models that would work, but it's really difficult to keep track of Walkera models and what's compatible and what isn't. They don't have any other 4 channel models I can think of that are larger than single cell.

He didn't mention that the 180D is nearly identical to the 9116, and
Double Horse may have even based the 9116 from it.
The 180Z has a tail driven by the main motor, so it won't work without
an extra ESC.
