Hitec HS-55 servo humming

Hi there

I'm building my first ARF plane which is an FlyFly PT-20 Ryan.

Currently I'm trying to adjust the ailerons servo, which seems to hum. I made a video, can anyone eventually tell if this amount of humming is normal?

Specs:
Hitec HS-55 Servo
Receiver: Spektrum AR600
Spektrum DX6i
40A noname ESC

Thanks!

Hitec HS-55 Servo humming (0 min 31 sec)

1. A few new servo do hum for a period whilst settling down,
this usually goes away after servo has been "worked" for a few minutes.
2. Try removing horn, if AOK, most likely causes:
a) Hinges are not in a straight line, or working freely with perhaps an excess of
glue on hinge(s) which needs to be worked out.
b) Mechanically incorrect. Control rods perhaps not square to horns and
putting incorrect pressure on horn which may cause binding.
c) Servo - Burnout. Cause & Prevention
and many more reasons covered under sub Section:

Thanks! I'll try to analyze the cause.

Try loosening up the fit of your EZ Connectors to the servo arm. From what I saw on your video these are too tight and bending the pushrods.

Disconnect the servo horn from the servo, the push-rods should move easy with very little resistance, binding will cause damage to the servo and discharge your rx battery quickly. A amp meter on your rx battery during servo setup is the best way to detect binding. good luck
