It would help if you list the flying conditions of your flying field. Open Plain, wooded with small openings, low thermal conditions etc. Also, the type of flying you plan on doing i.e. Fun fly, TD, F3J competitions. You skill level, beginner, talented but new, die hard my type or open minded

Having flown 3 of the 4 in your list, I would say Supra. I own 2 Supra Pro Comp's and the only model I would like to add to the fleet is an Aspire.

Hello

Field is open (out in the fens) low to medium thermals,F3J competitions.

Flown gliders for a long time now,but only started to flying carbon etc this last year, done a few local competitons, fingers crossed to do a lot more.

I fly at the moment a 100" Tracker & a Starlight 3000.

No wonder, it is definately the largest production of the top F3J planes.

Starlight seems to be a very nice model except for the weight. My wife’s Supra Comp weighs 55.9 oz (1585 grams). Launches very well and for F3J that also means it could launch quickly. I have Explorer 4.0 and a 3.8 and they fly well. I do like the 4.0 for it’s ability to stay up and travel a long way if needed. So, I can only chose between the ones I own. For F3J that would be the Supra, plus it does everything else very well too.

In all seriousness though, they are all 4 great models. Another thing you might look at is do you have any fellow pilots in your area already flying any of these models? If so, they would be a good resource for helping with initial set up and what not. No matter what choice you make it will be a good one.
