F3J in the Rockies combined Blue Skies Hand Launch

Rocky Mountain Soaring Association has long supported and held the annual
event F3J in the Rockies and recently Blue Skies over Colorado as part the
Blue Skies Hand-launch Series. Both these events are very popular and
currently separated by 3-4 weeks. This presents a problem for folks that
might want to attend both events. In addition F3J in the Rockies has
traditionally been held over the Memorial Day Weekend at the end of May. As
many of you know late May can be a challenging weather time in Colorado,
especially in the afternoon. Also people either love having an event over
the holiday weekend or hate it depending on family plans.

Therefore, this year RMSA is considering combining both events. The
combination would be in late June which is much better weather, but before
the 4th of July holiday week. The schedule would look like this:

Thursday: Practice and arrival, Friday and Saturday: F3J in the Rockies,
Sunday and Monday: Blue Skies over Colorado. The thinking is F3J has more
setup and teardown so it would go first. Those attending HL only could still
practice on Saturday and with less teardown, Monday afternoon is an easy
get-away day for HL participants.

Your opinion matters so we have constructed survey questions. Thanks very
much for taking this short survey. This survey appears in both the HL Thread and Sailplane events thread. Please vote in only one place

Mike, I would prefer having the F3J in the Rockies contest in the middle of June. Unsure about combining with Blue Skies over CO.
We are planning a two day F3J contest in mid August at Moriarty NM.

Tom Siler, father of the Fr3ak DLG has graciously donated a "patriotic" version of his Made in the USA DLG.

THANK YOU TOM SILER!!!!

This makes 5 DLG's so far in the US F3K team Raffle.

Go to www.teamusaf3k.com to order tickets, buy shirts, hats or jerseys, and get in on a chance to win some serious hardware!

If you already have some raffle tickets, you may want to buy some more. If you were thinking about getting some but really would like one of those cool jerseys, you will get 25 tickets complimentary with your jersey purchase, and 10 tickets with your hat purchase.

Our shirts are now on sale too, so we have a lot to offer for your much appreciated and valued support.

Thanks again everyone.

Mike for Team USA F3K
