Rented this on a recent trip to Germany. If you are ever there check out the Avis Prestige fleet. They have brochures for it in the Avis offices and offer 8 or so tasty vehicles for a blast on the Autobahn. I chose a brand new Porsche Carrera S coupe.

Ah, it wasn't so unwieldy as one may expect. First gear was a waste of time, 3rd gear rubber in limited amounts, all done by 80mph (aerodynamics). On gravel it would torque crab...

Here's a few shots of my 1972 Dodge Demon. Street legal, and raced on the street tires and very crappy exhaust. see video below for new 3" exhaust. Right now it sports a 440/ auto. when I got it it had a 340/4spd. The 340 was 13-1 comp, .525" cam but the heads needed to be redone and the cylinder walls were glazed over, so out it came. and in went the 440.
And a picture of my 1971 Road runner 383/4spd.
And a shot of my 1971 Dart that was originally a /6 but that came out and in went a 440.

Well, that's all great, but what was the time it did/does?

First time at the track with no tuning,street tires and running through a restricted exhaust, before the 3" free flowing system , it ran three 11.83s . It would be faster now. but it was very consistent.

Nice. It looked like it was moving along quite well.

NEAT fair weather was predicted to be GREAT from wed-sun so I packed up Sportn'Wood with all my gear and parked it front and center right off the entrance to the flight line ... it helps being one of the Grunts who help run the event.

... gotta say, I prolly got more props from everyone at the NEAT Fair than I did taking it to the Buick event. Everyone either owned one (the older guys ...) or grew up in one (us younger guys like me @ 50 )

Oh .. and it did rain thursday nite - second time since 1982 the car has been wet
