Eddie, I've looked at that airframe several times. It's nice to see yours in action. That's a pretty big speed envelope.
Did you try mounting the camera inside the cockpit? Was the Canopy any good for FPV?

If you put a camera in the Canopy I don't think you will see where you are going.
But it is very large... I don't know if its good for FPV because I have never put Camera in Canopy... I like to be able to see directly below me so I don't get lost....hahah

Its a good plane if you have a runway to land on... The wing loading is kind of high
for slow landings but the drag is VERY low... 4.5 amps to maintain ALT (carries 5000mah)
and cruises at 40 mph. So it you want to go somewhere… this is the plane to use.
Any bigger and heavier is risky to hand launch. At ~650 watts speed is ~80 mph strait and level.

Video from ground 80 - 90 mph

High performance electric glider (0 min 16 sec)

Eddie: Very impressive figures ... I get the same with the Ritewing Zephyr but I thought I was alone in that territory the plane you have there is pretty cool too ... do you have crow for landing?

Hey Prat !

I have the DG-1000 's HobbyKing glider....that is about the same thing than ASW28... and i cant use it near home / anythin alive ..... cause it's like a missile. In fact, it flew 1 time only cause i dont have fields near home.

So, if like me you like to fly near home (city) it's better with Elapor.

I have a Tunigy Rogue and a Cularis (both with power pods on top) for FPV.

Cheers.

Alain.

Yes.. I have both DG-1000 and ASW-28... The DG-1000 is has lighter wings and more
fuse room... Have not flown it. Very simular to ASW-28 that I is in the video.

ahh nice, I just want a big fiberglass fast glider, that one in the video seems to be hauling as* I want to fit a nice video tx on there and fly it to the stratosphere.

that's all there is behind my house crop fields, all the way to the lake St-Jean which is 25 miles wide so that gives me plenty of safe room for a "missile"
