Nice video Rudderless. Here is mine, not as good as yours but we had some pretty good wind and a million bugs that day so it was hard to concentrate. I kept it up high to trim it so you can't really see it all that well. My wife did her best..

You can see the GWS 28mm inrunner stuck on the nose of my Formosa. I just did it for testing and never flew the formosa with that motor. I was going to take off from the gravel strip but there are fences and trees all around. Since this was the maiden I though it would be safer to take off and land down the field a ways. Notice there are no decals on it. I never put decals on a plane untill I get 3 or 4 flights on it that way I know if it flys right and the decals won't get messed up. ![]() Oh and this plane would be a lot lighter and faster if it wasn't EPO. |

Wife LOL

That "audio" from your wife sounded very similar to my wife, "I can't see it, where is it etc". I have yet to take off from the ground, that thing of yours took off like it was from an air craft carrier, don't think it needs any more power. RUD |

Thanks guys, you should see my Zero take off.
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showp...78&postcount=1 I always like to get to a comfortable altitude as quickly as I can on an initial flight. That gives me plenty of room to trim the plane an get a feel for how it's going to handle before I try to land it. I would hand launch most planes but I knew this one would be pretty easy to ROG. Actually, I would like a bit more power althought the geard GWS 28mm makes a lot of power. My hottest two planes are my ME-109 and my Formosa, I run a 2208/20 AXI in both of them, a 36 Amp ESC, and an APC 8X6prop. With 30C lipos they will really scream. I'm thinking about changing out the motor on my FW-190 and going to 4S just to see if I can a bit more performance. |

Get some light fiberglas cloth from the hobby store and some thin epoxy or more specifically if you can find it fiberglas resin or epoxy. Cut the cloth to fit into the inside of the cowl and apply and "Voila"! A very rigid cowl with very little added weight. Absolute must with all GWS cowls.

I have seen a few aftermarket suppliers ... don't have them bookmarks. I will post again when I find the link.
Try WWW.headsuprc.com under GWS PARTS... seems to ring a bell. |

My EPS 40 built with full GWS guts, 2215 motor, 3 blades propeller, 35Amp ESC, Park servos …….. Thou have had couple time’s accident after approx dozen of flight during past 3 years. The main reason for plane able to survive and yet still in mint condition is due to aluminum foil tape.
The advantages of applying aluminum foil tape are: ---very minor weight increase, but increase of durability and rigidity ---scale with realistic looking ---almost no trace can be found after repair |
