1/72 Piper J3 Cub NEW PIC'S AND VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Drew up and built this little bird made from .025 Durabatics sanded to .019
Plantraco RX Plantraco 4mm corless motor and 32mm prop Homemade Act 3mm Id 75 Ohm AUW With 20Mah lipo 2.9 Grams WS 6.5" Glides are smooth and stable. Will Maiden tomorrow morning Hopefully it's stable enough to video the flight      Doom |

I pray for some downthrust with all my heart bro. since for sure it will fly..

Roger It has about 1.5deg DT ATM. Power on glides had it climbing through my house nicely. I Wish I could add more Dehidral without putting in the wing supports. I will see how it does tomorrow I think the weight of the everything may pull a bit into the wing in flight. This plane has been a nightmare. 4 times I installed all the components only to break the actuator wires after the 4th time the RX quit working. I eventualy had to wind another Act and buy another RX. If this plane Flies it will be an intervention from God. Everything is pointing to good flight so far in the glide tests so we will see tomorrow. Doom |

that plane is screaming for some landing gear
even if it doesnt have working wheels, it needs landing gear. |

Wow, True, it could use some landing gear, or maybe profile floats but it is very cute and I hope it flies with enough authority to think of adding gear/floats and struts

I'm hoping it flies with reserve power as I have the wing supports and landing gear made for it already I think these small planes will fly at around 3.5 grams and possibly 4 grams My zero and spitfire will fly with the 30Mah battery with power to spare that battery is .4grams heavier then the 20mah I have. we will see tomorrow how she does

It depends on what motor you use, if using the picoz 4mm 9ohm motor with a trimmed tail prop can fly a plane up to 4 grams, not so sure about the plantraco motor and prop.. all my tests show less thrust with the plantraco motor/prop.

Yep I have flown the zero and spit on the 30 Mah that bring there weight up to 3.4 -3.5 grams I did have alittle power left but climbing was very slow. My biggest scare is folding the wings. I think for sure the Picoo z tail motor and prop will work I have about 6 of those motors and atleast 15 props. Maybe if this one flies well Ill build another with the picoo motor
