I just flew this new scratch design tonight for it's first time and I am one Proud Papa!I've been scratch building for a long time,but have never been as sucessful as this one turned out.I set the surfaces at zero,hit the juice and it just rose off the floor with no trim needed!THAT has never happened before!At least not to me.

It looks good, how does it fly?

It flew so good I almost started to cry!No bad tendencies,needed
no trim between low speed and full bore,just climbed a slight bit.Slowed down to a crawl without dipping a wing or any of that type of behavior.It even flew nice and level when the throttle was cut and glided in for a smooth landing.I even let two other guy's fly it and none of us had problems.Dont get me wrong,I'm not one to brag,(well maybe a little!)but I have never had a scratch built fly as good as this.Two flyers here already want me to cut them a kit.I wish I had drawn patterns when I built it!

BTW this was my first Bipe also.I've never even built a bipe kit.

What's the construction material? Source? Plans? :-)

The material is 3/32 polystyrene(depron?)I will have a small supply of it available soon.As I dont usually have sucess like this with my scratch builds,ie-not attractive,so-so performance,I dont normally create plans.It's also difficult to do using concurrent engineering,LAR principal and KISS princaple to build planes.
I am going to create plans and possibly short kits in the near future(as fast as I can!).I know a fellow who has access to a water jet CNC cutter that will cut almost anything,I think I will send him a sample of the foam and see how well it works.The biggest problem will be digitizing a plan.A hand drawn plan will be no real problem,just take some time.

if you send me a hand-drawn plan (scanned or snail-mailed) I can redraw them in cad for you... construction looks straightforward and simple, that's a good thing.

I just got the material on monday,built the plane over the last few day's.Will have plans available in a couple weeks,hopefully.
What would a plan for this be worth?I want to be fair,but this is the first time I've had a plane worthy of selling plans for.

like i said, good job, but I don't think you're going to be able to sell any plans... if you kit it, maybe you could sell some... I thought you were planning to share it...

It is simple.Basic sheet and former.I have to work out a better way of fastening the center cabane to the fuse.the wing bolts on on the bottom,but I used tape on the top.Some suggested velcro but I feel that might loosen during flight.I believe I will lengthen them an use small nylon bolts into the side of the fuse.

I already have two guys wanting kits and another wants plans,but they did see it fly tonight.

I'd like the material. Any news on availability, weight, strength, grain etc?
