Hmm,
don't understand, why it's getting so hot. Does it use so much power to heat up the regulator? What voltage does it REALLY need? I need 12V for the VTX, but I think about getting a SBEC to lower the voltage before feeding to the OSD. Maybe convert the voltage down to 7.2V? How good is the voltage regulator on the OSD, can it be fed from a switching voltage regulator? I'm thinking about the 7.2V SBEC from Hobbyking. Or is it better to just run it hot, isn't this a waste of energy and stress on the OSD? UBEC 7.2V / 4.5A or the smaller one: UBEC 7.2V / 2.5A Thanks, - Oliver |
