Thats good news, have you done any modifications to the OSD or is it stock ?

Because they do get hot with 3s even with wire heatsink or may be a undercharged 3s

Hmm,

don't understand, why it's getting so hot. Does it use so much power to heat up the regulator? What voltage does it REALLY need? I need 12V for the VTX, but I think about getting a SBEC to lower the voltage before feeding to the OSD. Maybe convert the voltage down to 7.2V? How good is the voltage regulator on the OSD, can it be fed from a switching voltage regulator? I'm thinking about the 7.2V SBEC from Hobbyking. Or is it better to just run it hot, isn't this a waste of energy and stress on the OSD?

UBEC 7.2V / 4.5A

or the smaller one:

UBEC 7.2V / 2.5A

Thanks,
- Oliver

Im having RX glitching issues:

Pretty new to FPV and OSD use but not to RC.

I have EZ* with a JR 610UL RX (72Mhz channel 55) out on the right wing, antenna is routed gently to the rear of wing and hangs. No sharp turns at all.
The ESC is directly in front of the motor centered on the fuselage up top.
The VTX (1.3Ghz @ 400mw) is on the left wing and its V antenna is further out.

The OSD (Genuine Remzibi) is on the out side of the fuselage under the canopy area.

My camera is where the stock canopy would go.

I am running a dual battery set up and power the OSD from the VTX battery thru the balance connector and only drawing 8.4Volts.

Before I got the OSD I had ventured out 1 mile (5280') with this set up repeatedly.
After installing the OSD I could only make it out to 4,400' before experiencing violent glitching of the elevator and rudder.

I have since added many torrent rings and twisted all the wires.

I moved the OSD closer to the RX thinking it was related to the VTX and the glitching now happens at 2000'

There is almost 24" clearance between OSD and RX.

Any help?

BTW, thanks for the candy Remzibi !

1320 - same flying site? Have you tried taking the OSD out of the equation again?

Flew at a different site today and had same issue out at 4,400'.

I removed osd and easily flew past where I had issues minuets earlier.

Both flights were at 500' and clear LOS to plane.

I am using 1.3 video and 72Mhz for RC control.

May be you create a ground loop when you insert the OSD, check that there are no ground between devices (OSD, camera, VTx...) if they share the same battery.

Well considering what componants you get with it at that price and what it can do, you wont go wrong with this one

Mail or PM Remzibi, thats what you should do.

I am very happy with my two Remzibi's,,,

Well tonight I had the time to make a Map of my wiring and like you said I found a ground loop in the Video/OSD system.

Fix was simply cutting one wire.

Going to try it out tomorrow (but close in) so will have to wait till weekend to see if its the issue.

Thanks!
