Its exactly neither. Its all for looks. I had both versions and only had a problem with the V2 sequencer or servo not opening the door and had to belly land in a field. Never had a problem with v1.

if or when you get a chance swap out the nose steering servo with a MG servo. Also on v1 add 4mm collars on the main gear struts @ the base of trunnion. This helps keep the strut from sliding down into the gear if the trunnion sets screws become loose.

I agree...I just don't have the reference or knowledge point to know what to expect. I know High Alpha is one benefit, flat spins, etc...But until I know what to expect with each movement of the stick I think I will wait it out.

Maidened today...Went fantastic! She scoots! I need some larger 3S batts...Mine are 3000 and I really sucked every last voltage out of them to get 5 minutes. I turned off the TV on the elevators and ailerons, just rudder. I'm not that into TV and I certainly didn't want to try it out on the maiden. In the paint shop she goes. I know it's tired and used up but dangit I love the Blue Angel livery even though there is no E variant.

Congrats Aros! I was patiently waiting for a maiden update. After all the info I gave you I didn't want to be the cause of a maiden gone bad. If you want more flight time you might want to invest in some 4000mah 6s setup. Not sure if you like 3sx2 or 1x6s but 4000mah gives you good flight time without having to cut up foam for it to fit. That's all I use in mine & euro. Like I said you can go bigger 4500 or up but you'll have to do some trimming. Either way she a great jet and I learned a lot about flying from her.

Thanks! I do have a 6S 4000 but it wouldn't fit without cutting that little foam barrier by the battery compartment. If that's all I need to do to get it to fit I will do that!

Yup thats what i did. I also added some packaging bubble wrap at the nose of the battery bay to keep the battery from sliding forward. A foam block or tissue, etc. will work fine...whatevers lighter.

Don't think any1 on here has done a blue angles scheme in this bird. So it'll look nice and stand out in the sky.

Also do a check with a wattmeter, just to make sure. These stock setups are pushing close to the esc rated amps. I swapped mine out to a hw100a and cc bec. Not trying to scare you, but i swap out the esc and bec on every plane/jet, but just for your reference depending on flying style, cruiser or WOT.
